My Vision for Stow: Community. Connectivity. Responsible Development.

1. Community – A Place to Belong and Thrive

Bringing people together is at the heart of everything I do. I believe that when we know and understand one another, we build a stronger, more compassionate community. That starts with creating places where people want to gather—beautiful parks, inclusive playgrounds, and welcoming public spaces.

Stow should be a destination, not just a place we pass through. By investing in high-quality local eateries, event venues, and family-friendly gathering spots, we can encourage residents to spend locally and invite visitors to experience all we have to offer. Supporting our library, local events, and civic organizations also means investing in the shared experiences that make us feel connected—and proud to call Stow home.

2. Connectivity – Building a City That Works for Everyone

A more connected Stow means better roads, safer sidewalks, and modern infrastructure. It means ensuring residents can move around our city easily—whether by car, bike, wheelchair, or on foot. It also means expanding and maintaining our trail systems and green spaces so that nature and neighborhoods are never far apart.

By enhancing connectivity, we’re also improving the overall quality of life—making it easier for people to get to work, school, parks, and small businesses while reducing barriers for families, seniors, and those with limited mobility. This kind of planning lays the foundation for a more inclusive, accessible, and livable Stow.

3. Responsible Development – Growing the Right Way

Growth is inevitable, but how we grow matters. I’m committed to making smart, sustainable development decisions that strengthen our economy without sacrificing the character of our city. That means supporting the right mix of commercial and residential projects, protecting green space, and attracting businesses that align with our long-term vision.

In the near term, investing in projects like the amphitheater can draw families into Stow and boost our local economy. With more quality restaurants, entertainment venues, and retail options, we can keep Stow dollars in Stow—and become a regional destination ourselves.

Long-term, I support accelerating the development of a walkable downtown hub where people can eat, shop, and play—just like in neighboring communities. A vibrant central district can create jobs, build community, and position Stow for a bright future.

Additional Priorities:

  • Cross-Community Collaboration: I believe in finding common ground—regardless of party or background. Good ideas shouldn’t be partisan.
  • Public Safety & Well-Being: I’ll support efforts that keep Stow safe and welcoming, from emergency services to mental health resources.
  • Strong Schools & Lifelong Learning: Partnering with schools and supporting institutions like our public library help create opportunity for all ages.
  • Honoring our Senior Population: The city made a wise investment in a new senior and community center to expand its programming for Stow's growing senior population. I'll support efforts to give our seniors meaningful opportunities to stay involved in our community.
  • Quality of Life: Whether it’s beautifying neighborhoods, supporting local arts, or hosting family events, I’ll focus on what makes daily life better for everyone in Stow.
